Somethin to celebrate..

...its good to be reminded that the long days and nights of study are giving me something back to get to where I need to be.. just this morning at 5am I opened my e-mail and got my acceptance to IRT ! I'm excited and hoping to meet more beautiful people dedicated to the cause in education! Its a program that recruits POC into graduate schools with the mission to get into teaching in marginalized urban neighborhoods..

compan~era. blessings come. i spoke to my homie ricky last night, he was tellng me about an IRT fundraiser he was at. called to say he saw the news segment i was on about IRT. hearing his voice and encouragement last night gave me a natural high. he is a young borikua brother pursuing his ph.d. IRT will bring you across individuals who will inspire, encourage, love, challenge, and build with you. while you are there live in it, be open to every moment, it is not likely you will ever be around thirty young people of color from so many different walks working towards understanding... thirty young people of color, intellectually challenging inspiring frustrating. be there every moment. even the ones where you want to choke the rich kid... lol.
con mucho amor.
waiting for you to photograph this world out of poverty.
